Hockey Registration for the 2024/2025 season is open. The early registration discount expires on April 30, 2024.
If you have a credit from last season, contact the Administrator to see if that team account has been settled and to confirm the amount of the credit.

Oceanside Minor Hockey will be holding their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at Oceanside Place in the Multi-purpose Room. Registration will open at 7:00pm with the meeting beginning at 7:30pm.

There are a number of executive positions that will be up for election. These positions are for a two year term and are:

President (must have served at least 2 full years on the executive committee previously) – incumbent Dylan Martini
2nd Vice President (must have served at least 11 months on the executive committee previously) – incumbent Leslie Baynes
Secretary – position is vacant
Referee in Chief – position is vacant
Cross Ice Coordinator – position is vacant
Female Coordinator – incumbent Kristin Hendriks
Equipment Coordinator – position is vacant
Competitive Coordinator – position is vacant

The Development Coordinator position is vacant – the Executive Committee will appoint someone for a one year term. Let the executive know if you are interested in this position.

Nominations for any of the above positions should be forwarded to administrator@oceansidehockey.com no later than April 14, 2024. Nominations from the floor at the AGM will not be accepted. You are welcome to nominate yourself or anyone else, and nominations for the positions currently with an incumbent will be welcome. Please attach a short bio outlining your hockey experience.

At this time, we will also be gathering names for division coordinators (U11, U13, U15, U18 Recreational). These are appointed positions so if you are interested, let the Recreational Coordinator know at the AGM.

Executive year end reports will be posted to the OMHA website under OMHA INFO-Executive Year End Reports 2023/2024. The 2023/2024 Agenda as well as the 2022/2023 AGM Minutes can also be found under the same tab.

As with previous AGM"s, we will be drawing for door prizes at the end of the meeting. You must be present to win.

2nd Prize – 1/2 registration paid by OMHA
3rd Prize – 1/2 registration paid by OMHA

As some teams have not finalized their team accounts yet, I may be unable to tell you how much your registration credit (if you have one) will be. As soon as I know that information, I will let you know.

Remember that the discount for early registration is April 30, 2024 and if you are registering a third (or more) child (in your immediate family) contact the registrar at registrar@oceansidehockey.com to get the promo code for that third child.

It is now time for a member of Oceanside Minor Hockey to be nominated for Volunteer of the Year. This could be an executive member, a member of an Oceanside Team, or a parent/guardian/relative.
Please send your nominations to administrator@oceansidehockey.com with your reasons for nominating this person(s).
The award will be presented at the AGM so I will need your nominations before March 31. Thanks so much and we are looking forward to hearing about Oceanside members.

The Oceanside Generals Junior B team will be hosting Game 4 of their playoff series tomorrow (Wednesday – March 6) at 7:00pm at Oceanside Place.
They will be playing the Comox Glacier Kings and any minor hockey player wearing their jersey will get in for $5.00.

Come and cheer them on to victory as you did for our own Oceanside U18 T3 Generals last Saturday who won their series over Powell River and are now on their way to Provincials in Nelson, BC.
