Recreational hockey ice times start this Tuesday, September 3, 2019! Please check the Ice Schedule (Week 2) for your player’s day and time. All players must be in full hockey equipment to participate. Looking forward to seeing you all next week!
Dr. Abe Avender is a sports-focused Chiropractor with many years of experience managing brain trauma injuries including concussions. Dr. Avender will present on the importance of Base Line testing, along with the overall treatment and management of concussions. Those who attend will be presented with a coupon for a discounted Base Line testing session at Dr. Avender’s clinic. His practice is called Island Optimal Health & Performance and is located in Nanaimo.
We encourage all parents, players, and coaches to attend this free important workshop. Our players only have one brain, it’s important to know the signs of brain injury and how to manage them safely.

Oceanside Minor Hockey is looking for volunteers to help with organizing home tournaments for the upcoming hockey season! All tournaments must have a main contact person from each division to be the main organizer of that division’s tournament. If you are interested in being that person for your player’s division, could you please submit your name and division to email@example.com by August 31 for rep and September 30 for recreational tournaments. For additional details, please see the attached information sheet.
Via Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association (VIAHA): The option for out of draw zone players to attend a T1 MHA tryout is continuing for the 2019 – 2020 season. Players who are interested in attending should complete this form and submit it to their listed applicable T1 Host MHA as soon as possible. The deadline to submit is August 1st. It will be up to the T1 Host to decide if they will give you a little flexibility to this date – so please contact them directly if needed.
