COVID-19 SELF-ASSESSMENT TOOL

Posted by Oceanside MHA at Oct 23, 2020 1:01PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

There have been some questions on proper protocols if a player has experienced some COVID symptoms and, as a result, has missed a practice or game. Originally a doctor’s note was required. This has now been revised and attached is a chart of the accepted procedure.
The participant should isolate at home and complete the COVID-19 Self-Assessment Tool. The isolation should continue for a minimum of 24 hours and if the symptoms have resolved, they can return to hockey activity.
A copy of this is also available on the home page of the BC Hockey website.

Hockey Canada has developed an online course to inform players, parents, safety people, officials and coaches on how to navigate the challenges presented by COVID-19.
This course is mandatory for: coaches, safety people and officials prior to registering for the 2020-21 season. It is also available and suggested for parents to education themselves.
Attached is the complete memo from BC Hockey and link for the course “Planning a Safe Return to Hockey”.
