Kerry Park and Prince George to Host Summer Skills Camps

BC Hockey is pleased to announce that Prince George Minor Hockey Association (MHA) and Kerry Park MHA will be hosting Hockey Canada Summer Skills Camps in July and August. Each camp will feature two (2) on-ice sessions per day, dryland training and off ice activities, and team building sessions.
The skills camp in Prince George will be held at the Elksentre from July 25 – 29, 2016, while the Kerry Park skills camp will be held at Shawnigan Lake School in Shawnigan Lake, BC from August 8 – 12, 2016.
Both skills camps are open to male and female Novice, Atom, and Pee Wee recreational players. Each camp costs $400 and includes on and off-ice instruction from local coaches and trained BC Hockey course conductors. Ice sessions are designed to ensure maximum levels of activity and enjoyment through skill instruction, drills, and fun games. Players will also receive a jersey, water bottle, and hat.
Throughout the week, players will:
• Develop/enhance the fundamental skills of skating, passing, stickhandling, and shooting
• Meet other players and develop friendships
• Enjoy the fun of hockey through skill development
• Learn the concepts of fair play, fitness, safety, respect, teamwork, and the importance of a positive attitude
The registration deadline for the Prince George camp is July 18, 2016, while the deadline for the Kerry Park camp is August 2, 2016.
