News and Announcements

The Oceanside Generals Organization welcomes players to our community every year from various parts of Canada and the United States.
Their stay varies from one day, to a full season.
We like to offer our players the best experience possible both on and off the ice, therefore, Host Families play a key role in the success of the Oceanside Generals. By providing a caring, stable and secure home-away-from-home for our players, a nurturing Host Family allows our players to realize their potential and live out their dreams.

In addition to sharing their successes throughout the season, Host Families often form long-lasting and rewarding relationships with the players after they complete their stay.

If you interested in more information, expectations and guidelines on becoming a host family, please let me know.

Thank you,

Tara Hannibal

Neck Guards

Posted by Oceanside MHA at Jul 18, 2018 10:48AM PDT

Parents, have you been spending Summer days shopping for hockey gear? Here is an important reminder regarding neck guards.

Hockey Canada Rule 3.6 (f) states, “The wearing of a BNQ approved throat protector is compulsory for players registered in minor and female hockey.” On all major brands of equipment, the BNQ logo is clearly visible on the front or side of the neck guard. If there is no logo, the neck guard is not acceptable.

Please be mindful of this rule when considering purchasing integrated hockey neck tops, i.e. shirts with built in throat protection. If you have questions about appropriate gear for your child, please email
