Competitive Hockey Tryouts

Competitive hockey tryouts for OMHA start on Monday, August 28 for the following divisions.

Atom Development
Pee Wee
Bantam
Midget

If you would like to play competitive hockey and have not registered to tryout you still can.
Please contact our administrator to register before the first ice time for your division.

Calling all Coaches and Assistant Coaches

Hockey season is just around the corner and if you are interested in coaching and have not indicated it already please contact your coordinators to let them know.

Sr. House Coordinator for Peewee, Bantam, Midget – srhousecoordinator@oceansidehockey.com
Jr. House Coordinator for Initiation, Novice, Atom – jrhousecoordinator@oceansidehockey.com

All coaches/assistants/helpers will require the following before stepping onto the ice this season.

Criminal Record Check – Submitted
Catt Certification – Concussion Awareness Training (CATT)
Respect in Sport (Coach’s Version – Not the Parents Version)
Other coaching or safety certifications may be required.

Criminal Record Checks can now be done online.

They will be done by the Criminal Records Review Program (CRRP) Applicant Based Online Service.

You can also still fill out the paperwork and take it in to the police station.
If you would like to go this route you can find the paperwork under forms.

CATT – Concussion Awareness Training
This 40 minute online course is free for BC Hockey members and required before taking part in any practice or game.
