Time Change - Part 2 of the Sports Psychology
Please note.
There is a time change for Part 2 of the Sports Psychology sessions with George Kelly on December 5th. The Peewee/Atom session has been moved to 5:10-6:00pm. The Bantam/Midget session will remain the same, at 6:35-7:25pm. Both sessions will be held at the Quality Bayside Resort, Parksville.
If your player can not make their division’s session because of ice time, please head to the session that will work.
Sports Psychology Sessions
OMHA is pleased to announce that we are hosting a two-part ‘Sports Psychology’ session for our Atom-Midget players as well as for our Initiation-Novice coaches and parents. The sessions will be run by the very captivating, inspiring and informative Professor George Kelly from VIU. George will be teaching our players some useful techniques to help manage their emotional and cognitive focus while in game-play mode. This is a great opportunity for our players and coaches to learn and grow.
All 50 minute sessions will be held at the Quality Resort Bayside in Parksville, in the large meeting room on the main level. This resort is about a 5 minute drive from the rink.
PART ONE:
Monday, November 28
5:20pm to 6:10pm – Initiation/Novice Coaches and Parents ONLY (This session is NOT for Players)
6:35pm to 7:25pm – Bantam/Midget Players (parents and coaches are welcome to watch)
7:50pm to 8:40pm – Atom/Peewee Players (parents and coaches are welcome to watch)
PART TWO (THE FOLLOW UP):
Monday, December 5
6:35pm to 7:25pm – Bantam/Midget Players follow up session (parents and coaches are welcome to watch)
7:50pm to 8:40pm Atom/Peewee Players follow up session (parents and coaches are welcome to watch)
*Session times were designed to maximize the possible attendance for all players Atom through to Midget in conjunction with ice times.

The Canucks Centre for BC Hockey and BC Hockey are working closely in communities throughout BC to provide a number of exciting opportunities for minor hockey coaches and players of all ages.

COACHES: we want you to show us your hockey teams’ best Canucks team spirit for a chance for your squad to skate at an intermission during a Vancouver Canucks game.
It could be posters, a video of your team’s cheer, a picture of your team in Canucks colors, jerseys/hats/flags…….you name it! Just show us your team’s best!
